In two previous studies, we used a computational approach based on neuropsychological and lesion data of stroke patients to propose a model of brain interactions between different nodes of the visuo-spatial attention network (see Toba et al., 2017; Toba et al., 2020). During this internship, we aim at validating this model by using: (1) a transnosological approach (neuropsychological assessments and analyses of both grey and white matter in stroke and neurodegenerative impairments ) and (2) a non-invasive brain stimulation approach of regions identified as essential contributors in the attention network. The precise topic will be defined according to student’s competencies (neuropsychological, programming, computational analyses etc). A PhD thesis at the end of this internship is possible. A good command of oral and written English is necessary.
