Investigating the sense of agency in patients with neurological lesions

Several studies suggest that patients with neurological lesions (or cerebral damage) show difficulties in anticipating actions. The aim of this internship is to investigate the sense of agency in patients with neurological lesions (or cerebral damage) such as patients with cerebral visual impairments for example. Several paradigms can be used as a function of the intern’s preference. In particular, we can use the Intentional binding (IB) paradigm, which refers to the temporal attraction between a voluntary action and its sensory consequence. Alternatively, we can use a VR set-up to target more specifically how agency is linked to spatial cognition in these patients. This internship will be conducted in collaboration with Sylvie Chokron (Fondation ophtalmologique Rothschild and Université de Paris.)
