1. DEC and ENS International Masters' Fellowships

The Département d'Etudes Cognitives of Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris and Ecole Normale Supérieure offer several international fellowships, for a duration of either two or three years. These fellowships are intended for advanced undergraduate students, who will either directly enroll in a master's program (two-year or three-year fellowship) or first complete their last year of undergraduate studies and then enroll in a master's program (three-year fellowship).

ENS offers about 20 fellowships in all academic disciplines (including cognitive science and linguistics). In addition, DEC offers 2 two-year master's fellowships specifically in cognitive science and linguistics. The amount of the monthly stipend is 1000 euros. DEC will award its 2 fellowships on the same basis as ENS, i.e by means of a national competitive exam known as the "ENS international selection".

In order to be eligible for either type of fellowship, interested students should thus apply for the "ENS International Selection", either in cognitive science or linguistics. International students who apply at the master’s level in cognitive science are expected to enroll in the Cogmaster. Those who apply in linguistics will enroll either in the Cogmaster, which includes a linguistics major, on in a linguistics master program in Paris. Knowledge of French is necessary to enroll in the Cogmaster program.
